Testimonial from Joyce (Kitchen Hand)
The gentle breath meditation is a very use-full tool as it helps me STOP and be with myself. It is an opportunity to be still and in that stillness I have an awareness of where my body is at. My workplace can become rather frantic during the day, as I work in a kitchen. It doesn't take me long to stop and breathe gently when necessary. This helps me carry on with my tasks without taking on the raciness that surrounds me. I am heaps more relaxed now in the kitchen and the injuries that I use to inflict upon myself, have become less prevalent. I have embraced the gentle breath meditation as a daily practise. It helps me be present and focused on what I am doing. If I'm off task, I just stop and start breathing gently again. The connection with myself brings much joy and this is reflected in what I am doing and supports my interaction with my workplace colleagues and family. |
"When we lose ourselves, we lose the rhythm of our breath – meditation is a coming together. It is a stop to recollect yourself and gather your true breath." |
